How to find college counseling services in NJ

In all of the preparation you as a family are doing to send your child off to college, helping him/her be aware of the mental health services available to them is an important part. Colleges offer free and confidential counseling services to their students. And statistics would tell us, even if your child doesn’t need them, he/she will have a peer who needs these important services.

The college years are full of opportunities but are likely to create new challenges for a young adult. Even the most self-reliant student might have difficulties negotiating academic, interpersonal and emotional concerns and would benefit from speaking with a counselor.

Counseling services help students achieve educational and career goals, learn problem solving skills, enhance their capacity to develop satisfying relationships and make the most of their college experience.
